LOUISVILLE — A viral video shows a massive courtroom brawl that resulted in multiple arrests. The donnybrook transpired last Friday at Jefferson County District Court during a preliminary murder hearing in Louisville, Kentucky. All hell broke loose when defendant Paul Wade mocked the victim’s family as deputies escorted his black ass back to jail. “Yes ma’am, alright, thank you,” a handcuffed Wade told Jefferson County Judge Anne Haynie as he sauntered towards the exit. Then he glanced to his left and called one of the family members a “bitch.” A bout of fisticuffs quickly ensued. Deputies pepper-sprayed two family members in the hallway and arrested four total. Monnetra Cain, Joshua Smith, Isaiah Smith, and Joshua Whetstone were charged with several misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct and obstructing government operations.
What’s sad is Judge Haynie was mentoring an 8th grade student at the time. “I had an eighth-grader who was shadowing me,” she told reporters. “She wants to be a judge.” Social media reaction was priceless. One viewer wrote, “I bet he won’t say nothing else in court again. 😆” Another added, “An 8th grader shadowing a murder case….WHATTTT? You can tell the judge seems ready to retire.”
Wade, a 31-year-old gangsta, murdered Edward Lamont Smith, 26, and Alexis McCrary, 25, last month.
Because she had no control over the courtroom, Judge Haynie plans to hire more deputies next time.

The Deputies were very lax in their alertness to probable conflict and the judge should have had the defendant removed and the courtroom cleared after the first outburst. That outburst was the redflag.

If he has enough nerve to call the dead victims family member a bitch then he deserve to be treated like one. I know this may not be a death penalty case but if it was up to me, I would let the victims family choose how the perpetrator is to be put to death and I guarantee you they’re not going to pick lethal injection.

That courtroom had a palpable amount of insecurities between the victims, defendant, attorney, judge etc… That’ll be their wake up call. Should know better to escort a murder suspect into anything by just 1 cop into a small courtroom with 1 other cop total of 2 to standby vs a family of 9 less than 10ft away from him with no barrier.

In a situation like this, the police should be able to bust skulls and lay charges later. No one has the right to disrespect the court, regardless if they are the victims family, or the defendant. The defendant should have his teeth knocked out for instigating this, what a colossal screw up on the part of the deputies, using senior citizens for court security? Come on.
I don’t understand why they would let an alleged murderer near any of the spectators. They should take them out a different door. That’s a poorly configured court room for a murder case.

First! No more than 2 family members of victim in court room. Second! Judge was not protected as you can see defendant runs behind judges desk and exits court room…really! Can’t belive this happened during a murder case!!!! Glad to hear some attendees brought up on charges. However, discipline proceedings need to happen for inability to protect judge and fellow employees by courts security detail including management leadership. Stay tuned!

I’m sorry but my FIRST IMMEDIATE THOUGHT was this was a SLOW MOVING FEMALE Judge. Of course being a judge doesn’t typically require physical fitness but a MALE judge would be prepared for physical outbursts in a courtroom especially a public murder trial or hearing or whatever this was.
