DUBAI — When feminism goes terribly wrong. Tierra Young Allen — a black resident of Houston, Texas — was thrown in the slammer for actin’ ghetto. And, get this: It happened while she was on vacation. The detainment transpired April 2023 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. She’s still there. According to multiple reports, Tierra was involved in a traffic accident while riding as a passenger in her friend’s rental car. Fortunately, nobody was hurt. But the vehicle was impounded and Tierra’s personal belongings were confiscated. When the 29-year-old tourist went to the company to retrieve her things, the agent tried to charge her a fee. “She found out she could only receive those items if she paid an undisclosed amount of money,” said Tina Baxter, Tierra’s mom. “She dealt with a very aggressive individual, a young man there, who was screaming at her.”

During the dispute, Tierra unleashed a profanity-laced tirade and was subsequently arrested. Turns out, women in Dubai can be detained for getting loud in public. Men can yell. Women can’t. In addition to being jailed, Tierra’s passport was seized. She was also slapped with a travel ban and she can’t egress the country. “She is in jail for one reason and one reason alone, she raised her voice,” Tina explained. “In that country, a female is not even allowed to raise her voice. If she raises her voice it’s punishable by jail time.”

Social media reaction was priceless.

One commenter wrote, “We need those Dubai laws over here.”

Another chimed in with, “Save that loud, ignorant, ghetto, hoodrat behavior for America. Dubai is a classy city with scores of tourists.”

A third person added, “The agent was like, ‘This ain’t Compton homegirl😂😂.'”

Tierra is a truck driver who moonlights as an Instagram model.

In Dubai, women can get two years in prison for cussing.
