BROOKLYN — The adventures of Pookie & Ray Ray continue. Quincy Davis, 58, was thrown in the slammer after he murdered 26-year-old Imani Sharpless over a damn parking spot. The femicide transpired around 12:15 p.m. on September 9, 2023 at the Home Depot in Brooklyn, New York. According to police reports, Imani and her boyfriend — Cordel McDuffie — pulled into a parking spot that Quincy felt belonged to him. Words were exchanged before Cordel decided to park somewhere else. Quincy took the spot and that appeared to be the cessation of the conflict. Cordel went into the store while Imani waited in the car. As soon as he returned and got behind the wheel, an armed Quincy snuck up to the driver’s side and opened fire. Imani was shot in the head and Cordel was struck in the back. Both were rushed to Kings County Hospital in critical condition.

Doctors performed emergency surgery to remove a bullet that was lodged into Imani’s brain. But it was to no avail. She died 5 days later. Cordel survived. He spoke to reporters from his hospital bed. “I gave him the parking spot,” Cordel explained. “For this to be happening over something so miniscule, it’s just overwhelming.” Shortly after the shooting, Quincy ditched his gun then took off his clothes and threw ’em in a nearby dumpster. His Mercedes Benz remained in the parking lot.

Quincy, who stands 5’6″ and weighs 160 pounds, was arrested 2 weeks later and charged with murder and criminal possession of a firearm. He’s lookin’ at 25 years behind bars. Sadly, running afoul of the law is nothin’ new to him. In 1993, Quincy served 2 years in a state penitentiary for possession of stolen property. He also served 2 years in 1986 for armed robbery.

Imani was a teacher’s aide who moonlighted as a rappin’ model.

She has a few music videos out.

Imani’s family member raised eyebrows when she told reporters she’s ready to forgive Quincy.

“We want him to definitely pay for what he did,” she said.

“But we want him to know that we forgive him.”

Social media reaction was venomous.

One commenter wrote, “Black people, stop that damm forgiveness!”

Another chimed in with, “Short man syndrome. People can be so stupid over a parking spot.”

A third person added, “THIS SHOULD SERVE AS A LESSON TO THOSE WHO LIKE TO ARGUE OVER STUPID SH*T!!!!!! PEOPLE CARRY GUNS…… LESSON LEARNED!!!!”
