LOS ANGELES — You can stick a fork in Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs because he’s done. CNN obtained a surveillance video that shows the “Bad Boy” mogul delivering his best Ray Rice impersonation on then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. The beatdown transpired on March 5, 2016 in the hallway of the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles. The footage shows a half-naked Diddy with a towel around his waist grabbing Cassie by the neck and throwing her to the ground. Then, he proceeded to kick her multiple times as she laid motionless. Diddy also dragged her down the hallway, eerily reminiscent of what Ike did to Tina in the 1993 film “What’s Love Got to Do with It?” Prior to what’s seen in the video, Diddy punched Cassie in the countenance — giving her a black eye.

If you recall, Diddy settled a lawsuit filed by Cassie in November after she accused him of rape and physical abuse. But, after descrying the footage, her attorney — Douglas H. Wigdor — might consider re-opening the case. “The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs,” he told reporters. “Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light.”

Social media reaction was wild.

One commenter wrote, “Better believe Diddy is not the only one. A lot of y’all’s favorite rappers are part of the same thing.”

Another chimed in with, “She probably started the whole thing… he’s innocent!!!”

A third person added, “Ok, so this video is from 2016. Why has this video been hidden since it happened? What other videos have been hidden from the public? And who was paid off to keep this a secret? Shameful that people with money can hide their malicious, ugly incidents and not be charged with a crime.”

While attending the red carpet premiere of her movie “The Perfect Match” on March 7, 2016, Cassie had bruises all over her body.

  1. When Cassie married Alex Fine, I was glad she found the perfect mr. right. I’m glad she escaped the physical and mental abuse she has been through.

If a man was hitting on you and you didn’t want it to happen, you could let your voice be heard years earlier, if you was scared at the red carpet events when you was being interviewed YOU COULD HAVE SAID SOMETHING where millions of people would have heard it and something could have been done.

  4. He tried to break her spirit and maybe even ruin her looks with the beatings. He failed at both. It’s also funny how out of all his exes, she seemed to be the most meek/quiet one, yet she was the one to bring his career and him to his knees. Serves him right.

    Women in abusive situations aren’t thinking rationally at the point it turns to physical violence she’s already beat.
