ATLANTA — Here’s some pomp and circumstance fo’ yo’ azz! In case you haven’t noticed, blacks are leaving the Democratic party. So, in a comical attempt to recruit negro voters, President Joe Biden delivered a commencement oration at Morehouse College last Sunday. Yes, he received an honorary degree. But the rest of his visit was an absolute disaster. That’s because the Commander-in-Chief was met with a series of “peaceful protests” from faculty and students who are opposed to his nonchalant handling of the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza. Some turned their backs on Biden as he spoke. Others donned Palestinian flags and keffiyehs, a headdress worn by men in the Middle East. Protestors held signs. A few even raised their right fists. It felt like the 60s again. Valedictorian DeAngelo “DJ” Fletcher addressed the crowd by calling for an “immediate and permanent cease-fire in Gaza.”
President Biden, for what it’s worth, piggybacked Flether’s sentiment. “What’s happening in Gaza and Israel is heartbreaking,” Biden said while donning academic regalia. “We can’t stop wars that break out and break our hearts. I want to say this very clearly: I support peaceful, nonviolent protests. Your voices should be heard, and I promise you I hear them.” Ugh! There’s that phrase again.
Man, I hate when people say “peaceful protest.”
It’s an oxymoron.
The terms are mutually exclusive.
How peaceful was Massa when he coerced slaves into working for free before torturing ’em, raping ’em and sundering their families?
How peaceful were mobsters who ravaged “Black Wall Street” during the Tulsa Race Massacre of 1921?
How peaceful were the racist cops who assaulted black people (including women and children) with their batons, water hoses and K-9s during the Civil Rights Movement?
Again, please refrain from uttering “peaceful protest.”
It’s the stupidest thing I ever heard.
The reason why we — as black people — lost our land, homes, and businesses is because our colonizers weren’t peaceful.
Many of us are still waiting on 40 acres and a mule.
Hell, the reason why the United States is the crème de la crème of Western Civilization is because presidents like Mr. Biden deploy soldiers, warships and fighter jets to blow rival nations into smithereens to ensure the confiscation of their oil and gas.
So, for the last f*ckin’ time, stop saying “peaceful protest.”
It’s a farcical locution disseminated to blacks and it really pisses me off.
That being said, I’m not advocating that negroes seek reprisal.
The average white person ain’t racist.
Just bigots like Dementia Joe.
Besides, Romans 12:19 says, “Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God. For it is written, vengeance is mine. I will repay, says the Lord.”
I’m simply saying phrases like “peaceful protest” and labeling people of color “minorities” are doltish because last time I checked, that demographic bears a close resemblance to the heavenly father.
Revelation 1:14-15 says, “The hair on his head was white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters.”
There’s certainly nothing “minor” about that scripture.

Maybe this is coming from another angle, but, has anyone considered how Palestine truly treats its Black population? How they regard Africa, Africans and us once they arrive here in America. Yes, I truly feel terrible for the innocent lives being killed in Gaza, but my concerns are also deeply for the wars in Africa & the plight of Haitians; which I feel our “leaders,” & educators, especially black are putting on the back burner. Also, not enough of us are speaking up for the situations in both places.
Protesting has become a hobby for folks.
