KANSAS CITY — Law enforcement officials are searching for answers after rapper 2Gunn Kevi (né Kevion Bifford) was murdered during a gang-related shooting. The homicide transpired around 6:30 p.m. on May 24, 2024 in Kansas City, Missouri. According to police reports, officers were in the vicinity of 31st & Van Brunt when they heard a flurry of buckshots. When they arrived at a nearby car wash, they found the 37-year-old lyricist deceased inside his vehicle. Kevi’s cadaver was riddled with bullets. No suspects are in custody and, because snitches get stitches, nobody’s talking. To say Kevi lived a rough life would be a vast understatement. He was a member of the Click Clack Gang — named after the sound of cocking a gun. He was arrested 8 times in 3 years. And, the 9th time he was arrested, he served 9 years in the federal penitentiary.
Kevi was also shot multiple times through the years, including once in the countenance. But he refused to rat out his adversaries because, as previously mentioned, snitches get stitches. Case in point: After getting shot in 2008, Kevi told investigators, “Even if I knew who shot me, I would not prosecute because I am not a snitch or a rat and I do not associate with rats and my gang has kicked out rats in the past.”
Kevi did, however, admit he was seeking a cessation to “gang life” so he wouldn’t get shot again and/or shoot somebody else.
His rap video “VENT” has garnered more than a million views.
Social media reaction was wild.
One commenter wrote, “Damn, used to listen to 2Gunn Kevi. RIP.”
Another person added, “Damn, that’s messed up. I was just listening to Tech N9ne’s latest album that featured 2Gunn Kevi on one of the songs. I pretty much got familiar with 2Gunn Kevi through Tech N9ne. It’s a shame he got caught up in the streets like that. R.I.P. to that black man.”

I just moved away from kcmo. Its a dark cloud over that city man. All you hear are gunshots and sirens all day long. Even if you aren’t involved in anything, you have to keep your head on a swivel, cause mistaken identity is a real life thing. I pray for the city. I’m originally from the Kansas side but lived back and forth my whole life. My advice to those that still live there, GET OUT! Ain’t nothing there but heartache, pain, and court papers.
