BATON ROUGE — The adventures of Pookie & Ray Ray continue. Davyon Bentley, 24, was thrown in the slammer after he murdered his ex-girlfriend, 40-year-old Brenda Mullens, because she broke up with him. The femicide transpired on September 16, 2021 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. According to police reports, Davyon — who’s 16 years younger than Brenda — showed up at her house unannounced and begged her to let him in so he could have sex. When she said “no,” the simpin’ thug pulled out a gun and fired through the door — striking Brenda multiple times. Her three children were home at the time. Davyon was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. Sadly, busting caps at women is nothin’ new to Davyon. Two months prior to killing Brenda, he tried to force himself into a different girlfriend’s apartment before firing his gun.
Fortunately, that woman wasn’t hit. Instead, the bullets struck a window and a parked vehicle. Social media reaction was vicious. One commenter wrote, “40 messing with 24 year old thuggo, while being responsible for 3 kids. Lawd.” Another chimed in with, “Bubba awaits him in prison.” A third person added, “These are the types of men that these women go for. They will bypass a hardworking black man because they consider him lame and boring but go all out to date Pookie & Ray Ray. Oh well.”
Davyon and Brenda were a mismatch from the beginning.
