ATLANTA — The only certain things in life are death, taxes and transgender women gettin’ killed by mortified men. Darius Mills, 31, was thrown in the slammer after he murdered 37-year-old Ashley Burton for being a trans woman. The homicide transpired after midnight on April 11, 2023 at the Elite at City Park Apartments in Atlanta, Georgia. According to reports, a horny Darius showed up at Ashley’s apartment with libidinous aspirations of gettin’ some pussy. But, when Darius learned Ashley had a bussy instead, he pulled out a gun and opened fire — striking the tranny multiple times. A bloodied Ashley egressed the apartment and went door-to-door, begging neighbors for help. But they were too scared to get involved. Darius followed Ashley and emptied the clip before fleeing the scene. He was arrested several weeks later and charged with murder, armed robbery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Darius will spend the rest of his miserable existence in the penitentiary.
Family members said Ashley wasn’t the kind of person to conceal his sexuality, saying he “was very comfortable in [his] own skin as a member of the LGBTQ community.” Patrick Burton, Ashley’s brother, believes Darius knew what he was getting into. After all, everybody and they mama knew Ashley had a dick. “The way my sibling moved in life, it was… take it or leave it,” Patrick explained. “This is how I am.’ You can respect it or neglect it, but Ashley put it out there and let that person know. It’s not going to be a secret.”
Social media reaction was cold-blooded.

A third person added, What a beautiful soul she was, simply living her life honestly and happily and treating others as she’d want to be treated, as any decent human being would do in life. She did not deserve this whether or not she was open about being born biologically male and that coward bigot who killed her deserves to be the resident bitch in prison for the rest of his pathetic life. If he couldn’t deal with her being a trans woman he certainly had the option to walk away and never see her again. Straight men have become so goddamn toxic it’s beyond ridiculous. Ashley was a hairstylist, who was loved “from South Carolina to Atlanta.”
