PLAINS — “🎵It’s so hard to say goodbye to yesterday.🎵” Jimmy Carter has migrated to that big Oval Office in the sky. The 39th President of the United States kicked the bucket on Sunday. He was 100 years old, which makes him the longest-lived commander in chief in U.S. history. Jimmy, winner of the 2002 Nobel Peace Prize, was encircled by family when he died peacefully at his home in Plains, Georgia. He’s survived by his 4 children, 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Hate if you want. But Jimmy did a lot of f*ckin.’ “My father was a hero, not only to me but to everyone who believes in peace, human rights, and unselfish love,” said Jimmy’s son, Chip Carter. “My brothers, sister, and I shared him with the rest of the world through these common beliefs. The world is our family because of the way he brought people together, and we thank you for honoring his memory by continuing to live these shared beliefs.”

World leaders also chimed in. Chinese President Xi Jinping said, “Former President Jimmy Carter was a promoter and decision-maker in the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the United States. Over the years, he made significant contributions to the development of China-U.S. relations and the friendship between the two countries. I’m deeply saddened by his death.”

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi echoed a homogeneous sentiment.

“In this moment of sorrow, I extend my sincerest condolences to the family of former American President Jimmy Carter,” he said.

“President Carter was a symbol of humanitarian and diplomatic efforts, his deep belief in peace and justice has inspired many individuals and institutions around the world to follow his path. His efforts in preserving the peace agreement between Egypt and Israel will remain etched in history, and his humanitarian work demonstrates a standard of love, peace, and brotherhood. His legacy ensures that he will be remembered as one of the world’s most prominent leaders in service to humanity. May God have mercy on former President Jimmy Carter.”

It should be noted not everybody’s a fan.

President Donald Trump, if you recall, once mocked Jimmy as being the worst president in American history… until Barack Obama came along.

“I never thought I’d say it in my lifetime, but President Barack Hussein Obama, aka Barry Sotoro, is a far worse president than Jimmy Carter!” Trump cracked in 2014.

That same year, Trump called Jimmy dead at the Conservative Political Action Conference when he referred to him as “late, great Jimmy Carter.”

Lord have mercy.

Jimmy, a Democrat, took a lot of heat for voting for Kamala Harris… and he managed to cast his ballot while sedentary in a wheelchair.
