YOUNGSTOWN — “🎵Blame it on the Goose. Gotcha feelin’ loose. Blame it on the ‘Tron. Got you in the zone. Blame it on the a-a-a-a-a-alcohol.🎵” Shanay Jacobs, 32, was thrown in the slammer after she ran over her boyfriend, 30-year-old Nathaniel Watson, because she was inebriated. The vehicular homicide transpired around 4:15 a.m. on October 15, 2023 at Shanay’s sister’s house in Youngstown, Ohio. According to reports, Shanay and her sister were having contretemps when Nate intervened. Rather than let cooler heads prevail, Shanay got pissed at Nate for taking her sister’s side and came “out of the home screaming and calling him insults.” Nate proceeded to walk home on the sidewalk and Shanay followed him in her car. Then she hit the gas and ran him over. “Initially she said he jumped in front of the car,” Youngstown police detective Jerry Fulmer testified. “But then, after speaking with her further, she did admit that she ran him over on the sidewalk.”

Nate’s corpse was found underneath the vehicle in the 200 block of South Schenley Avenue. Shanay was arrested and charged with murder. But she struck a deal with prosecutors and pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of voluntary manslaughter. So, rather than serve a life sentence, Judge John Durkin gave her a measly 6 to 9 years in prison. Ain’t that a bitch?

During trial, Shanay pulled a Jamie Foxx and blamed alcohol for Nate’s demise.

But police at the scene said they didn’t test her for a DUI because she didn’t appear intoxicated.

Shanay’s sister testified and disagreed.

She said her sibling was depressed over a series of deaths involving family members and friends so she started drinking uncontrollably as a coping mechanism.

Shanay patronized three bars and an after-hours nightclub prior to ending up at her sister’s house.

GODDAMN!!!

When asked to elucidate what transpired, Shanay said she don’t remember running over Nate because she was drunk as a skunk.

“I’m done with alcohol for the rest of my life,” she swore.

“There is a deep cut to my heart because I still do not remember what happened.”

While locked up in the county jail, Shanay took several substance abuse and anger management classes.

Either she feels like sh*t or she’s great at pretending.

“I am deeply… sorry for this tragic accident,” Shanay bemoaned.

“I never meant for any of this to happen; I truly loved Nathaniel.”

Nathaniel’s mother, Sherry Anderson, told Judge Durkin her son was a “joy to be around” and was a “good character person.”

She also said, “I have never received a gift like Nathan as my son. I used to say, ‘Lord, what did I do to deserve this?’ He’s gone now from here, but he’s never gone from me. He’s in my heart. It was God who gave me a child I loved, and I still love him.”

Even though he handed down a light sentence, Judge Durkin admitted, “Nate did not deserve to die.”

No sh*t Sherlock.

  3. People act like drugs and alcohol isnt their responsibility. Like the alcohol decided to drive and run him over

  4. Otherway way around that man would’ve gotten life. That’s the reason i don’t like women that drink heavy.

  5. This is some BS, I’m tired of women being under charge and under sentence. If roles were reversed, he would be under the jail.

  6. I learned from someone I grew up with who never got in trouble got married got mad got 40 years I learned as a kid 30 seconds can get you 30 years………

  7. If a man would have commit such crime he would been considered a monster and book would’ve been thrown at him . I HATE THE JUSTICE SYSTEM!!

  8. They gave her a slap on the wrist after taking his life. 🤦🏾‍♀️ Being drunk isn’t an excuse for committing murder.

  9. She looks old 😢😢when they EVIL it always shows sad af stop dealing with these DESPERATE PICK MESHAS WHO PAY FOR LOVE 😢😢😢SAD

  10. Don’t drink period! It will cause you to make bad decisions and in some cases people black out and can’t remember anything. Your life and other people’s lives are put at risk when you drink over your limit

  11. Bro that’s what I always will say the justice system is a joke…the only thing that works is street justice…if she thinks that family gone forgive her and let that slide she definitely gotta another thing coming

  12. How are you that mad that you turn your car to hit a human?! A human that you swear you love at that.. She should have received life without parole.

  13. Alcohol didn’t have nothing with you “intentionally” killing that man

  14. She did that on purpose. She wasn’t that drunk. The man was trying to get away from her toxic tail.

  15. I think we men must leave these toxic evil women alone they are so sick.

  16. Why would you drink and drive? Why would you not have a designated driver? Then her and her sister was fighting !! Just literally a mess !!

  17. So you were arguing with your sister, then begin to argue with your man. He leaves and you proceed behind him with your car running him over. She shouldn’t been behind the wheels of a vehicle in the first place since she claim she had one too many. She never loved or cared for that man because ain’t no way she left him there for dead like that if she did smh. RIP to Nathaniel

  18. She’s a grown woman she needs to take accountability for her actions. Alcohol doesn’t excuse that. The drunk you is the sober you!

  19. One thing I’ve learned leave Drunk People alone Especially when you know that they’re a Wild Drunk
