Chiefs lose Super Bowl on purpose, Vegas cashes in

Give Mahomes & Co. an Oscar/YouTube

Chiefs did the NFL a solid.

Blog King, Mass Appeal

NEW ORLEANS — And the award for best leading actor goes to… Look, I won’t bother asking if you enjoyed Super Bowl LIX, which saw our Kansas City Chiefs take a dive in falling to the Philadelphia Eagles 40-22 at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. And the game wasn’t that close. Philly led 24-0 at halftime and cruised from there. I didn’t watch the second half, and I skipped Kendrick Lamar’s halftime performance.  Didn’t feel the need to waste precious time. The Chiefs were that pathetic. If you recall, prior to kickoff, I eschewed placing a wager amid trepidation of point-shaving and shoddy play. Now you see why. You and I also stopped gambling midseason after winning an impressive 9 out of 13 bets on the Chiefs because… we knew something wasn’t right. See… when it comes to rolling the dice, it’s best to quit while you’re in the black. It’s a good thing we did because, with Adam Sandler in attendance, Patrick “Paul Crewe” Mahomes and Andy “Warden Hazen” Reid re-enacted “The Longest Yard” in what’s being called the most rigged title game in NFL history.

The narrative encircling Super Bowl Week was Commissioner Roger Goodell, league officials and referees wanted our Chiefs to three-peat. We heard about it 24/7. Fans boycotted and David Portnoy of Barstool Sports contemplated suing the NFL after he placed a $1 million wager on the Buffalo Bills to beat the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game only to watch ’em come up short in the final minutes.

He trashed the Chiefs shortly after the Super Bowl.

“Chiefs have embarrassed themselves on a national scale,” Portnoy said in a video he posted on social media.

“Absolutely demolished by the Eagles. Patrick Mahomes looks like a JV quarterback. Now, it doesn’t take away from the fact they got three titles. It does stop the conversation … people comparing the New England Patriots’ dynasty and the Chiefs’ dynasty, they don’t even belong on the same field. The Chiefs would never ever beat the Patriots dynasty, not in a million years. Patrick Mahomes is not Tom Brady. Tom Brady has never puked on himself how Patrick Mahomes just did. And I know Patrick Mahomes don’t like Barstool, big deal, but that’s not why. He was awful. Couldn’t rise up, horrible throws. No protection, fine. Brady would have found a way.”

Portnoy accused the league and refs of working in cahoots to ensure a KC ménage à trois in New Orleans.

Now, he and blue-balled bettors worldwide deserve a dunce cap.

Check this out. According to Sports Betting Dime, 76 percent of gamblers placed wagers on the Chiefs because they fell for the okie-doke; believing the NFL and refs would guarantee a three-peat. That means only 24 percent placed their wagers on the Eagles — widely regarded as being the league’s most talented team. The American Gaming Association said $1.39 billion was wagered, with one bettor putting $345,000 on the Chiefs and another coughing up $326,000. Both got sodomized with no Vaseline.

The NFL — which has partnerships with FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM and countless others — walked away with a sizable chunk of the aforementioned 76 percent of public money wagered. You can tell Goodell descried the sportsbooks, phoned the Chiefs and told ’em to lose on purpose. Case in point, Coach Reid called no running plays to keep Philly’s pass rush at bay and Mahomes remained stationary in the pocket where he took a plethora of unnecessary sacks.

No. 15 also telegraphed a pair of terrible throws that were intercepted deep in his own territory and converted into touchdowns.

It was a point-shaving clinic.

“When you give a team 14 points, especially a really good football team, a Super Bowl football team, then not a lot of good things [are going to happen],” Mahomes explained.

“That’s why I take ownership in this loss more than probably any loss in my entire career because I put us in a bad spot. Even though we put up some stats at the end of the game, those stats didn’t really matter because we had already lost the momentum.”

Coach Reid echoed a homogenous sentiment.

“Today was a rough day,” he bemoaned.

“We didn’t really play well in any of the phases. I didn’t coach good enough. [The Eagles] did a nice job… We’ll learn from this. Like most games here, when you don’t do very well, you learn from it as a coach, you learn from it as a player, and you move on.”

Fox commentators Tom Brady and Kevin Burkhardt blamed KC’s offensive line.

Ditto for Chiefs fans.

But I say, “bullsh*t!”

This same offensive line (sans Donovan Smith) helped KC upset three outstanding teams on the road last season enroute to winning the Super Bowl.

Andy Heck’s unit also dominated the Houston Texans and the Bills this postseason to reach the big game.

As ass-whoppin’ of this magnitude on national television requires a scapegoat.

I get it.

But the beatdown had nothin’ to do with offensive linemen.

And it had nothin’ to do with referees.

Big Red and Mahomes simply threw the game.

They’ve done it before (Super Bowl LV) and they’ll do it again at the league’s behest.

The Chiefs aren’t alone.

In the 2017 AFC Championship Game, defensive back Jalen Ramsey said Goodell told his Jacksonville Jaguars to lose to Tom Brady and the New England Patriots on purpose because it’s “good for the league.”

Former Houston Texans running back Arian Foster said he and his teammates received a script from Goodell before the start of each season.

Keep in mind… the NFL has a sports entertainment license, which gives the league complete autonomy to legally predetermine the outcomes of games — similar to the WWE.

Also, don’t underestimate the power of Vegas.

Whether it’s sports wagering or casino gambling, the house never loses.

Telling you dawg, Big Red and Mahomes look harmless when they’re filming State Farm commercials.

But, quiet as kept, they’re making the NFL a lot of money.

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are also doing their part.

Wouldn’t surprise anyone to see the Chiefs win next year’s Super Bowl — just depends on the script and how cash is wagered.

Gamblers got played like a piano last night.

Even Stevie Wonder saw it coming.

Fox Sports officials claim a Super Bowl record 126 million viewers watched Sunday’s game.

But fans are calling it bullsh*t, claiming the NFL rigged TV ratings too.

Watch rigged plays from the game, interviews and more.

  1. I love the Chiefs. Great year. Wish we won. But, they made history. Great work!

  2. They threw the game. I could tell by Mahomes body language. He looked sad when he came out for the coin toss.

  3. EAGLES SHELLACKED the Chiefs.
Mahomes got eliminated from goat status.
Chiefs are done stick a fork in them

  4. Mahomes has not won a superbowl in the same year his kid is born… is it time for him to stop having kids?

  5. As a life long Kansan i have always hated the Chiefs.Congrats Eagles and thank you for sparing me from having to hear everday about the Chiefs being the first 3 peat SB Champions.Brady n the Bucs and you have shown the NFL how to beat The Chiefs, teams take notes.

  6. @msnknight: I’m going to defend Brett Veach and the rest of the team from this standpoint: the NFL is not designed to allow what the Chiefs just did. There’s a reason why there hasn’t been a 3-peat champion in this sport in 50 years. It’ll get lost in history but the Chiefs still made history. No back to back champion ever made it as far as the Chiefs did since those 60s Packers. Yes, we have some problems to solve. But this has been an unbelievable run. And this organization is more than capable of retooling and being right back here next year.

Minor setback for a great comeback!

  7. The script had the Chiefs making it to the SB and were booked to win. Thing is given all scrutiny the league faced, the audible was called and the Eagles were given the Lombardi

  8. The NFHell used the script from the Seahawks broncos game and Bucs chiefs game. This year was very similar to those years

  9. Jesus Christ said the world would go in until his second coming.
Believing in Jesus Christ is the only productive thing to do in this earth. Matthew 11:28-30kjv

  10. The NFL doing damage control. They had the Eagles win so they can sit back and say that everyone was wrong about them favoring the Chiefs when in reality their primary goal was to have Swift in the crowd. Then they have the Eagles win so they look good.

  11. Eagles gave the Chiefs the SB 2 years ago and now they make it up for the Eagles.

  12. An indicator of how things were going to go is EXACTLY what I thought when I saw Mahommes run backwards when he could have gotten a few yards ahead of where he was. I literally turned it off after that because I knew they were throwing the game.

  13. Something wasn’t right from the very beginning with the Chiefs. The way the Chiefs came out into the field, they didn’t seem like themselves, especially Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs weren’t fired up, pumped, or anything. There was no motivation and excitement to win the SB and to make history from the Chiefs.

The announcement of the Chiefs being two time Superbowl champions with the tomahawk war chant did not match the vibe and energy when the whole team walked out. They seemed sad and walked out with their heads down. Something happened before the game started. It’s like they knew they weren’t gonna win the Superbowl and make history like they wanted to. I honestly believe the Chiefs were told to lose on purpose.

The Chiefs, especially Patrick Mahomes looked bothered before the game started and before the whole coin tossed and a lot of people were pointing this out. Plus, Patrick Mahomes didn’t fire up the team and do those pep talks throughout the game which he is known to do and I find that strange. It also seems like Patrick gave the Eagles the football twice on purpose which is another reason why I believed the Chiefs were told to lose on purpose. Call me crazy, Idk care what anyone thinks of me!

The Chiefs created a whole bunch of crybabies over these past six years because their team wasn’t winning all the time lol! Let them Eagles go on and enjoy the Eagles last Superbowl win and have their parade lol. Fans of other teams hating on the Chiefs success and achievements breed haters! The Chiefs dynasty is still in the making regardless of this loss! The Eagles and most teams in the NFL don’t even have half the success that the Chiefs have! There is no other franchise in the NFL like the Kansas City Chiefs!

Chiefs Kingdom baby, all day everyday! The Chiefs will learn from this loss (if they actually lost and not told to lose on purpose) and come back better and stronger like they always do after a loss, especially after a superbowl loss like before. They will be back at the Superbowl next year no doubt about it!

  14. Keep trying to tell everyone Mahommes threw this game but they don’t hear me though 🤦‍♂️ smh

  15. Forgot to mention the symbolism of the 24-0 halftime score. You knew they had to have some kobe tributes. Thats why only 8 an 1 scored for chiefs. Kobe bryant =81. Same reason 81 recovered onside kick to finish game. 2 9 date numerologies so the td formula was perfect for scorers. Both 1s scores
    1 +1 =2. 11×1 =11 (11 is 2)
3 6 9s can score for the 9date numerologies, #33 #6 scored. Alwys works out that way, its the code they use for td scorers, to prove 100% they pick who scores

  16. @Matt Mason: And also the fact that those plane crashes in Philly were ritual sacrifices for the team to win, might sound slightly crazier than the whole NFL being scripted like WWE but this is also a part of it simply because this country is basically just one big satanic cult. The masons control pretty much everything including sports entertainment

Something happened last year too with a chiefs fan that mysteriously “passed away” right before the chiefs won the SB

  17. NFL really wanted the Chiefs to three peat but too many people were catching on. I wish folks understood that each team has four different ways in which to flip scripts in season. They did it last year as well. Everyone started catching on to Ravens vs Lions and they changed it on the fly

  18. If you don’t know nfl is entertainment…it’s rigged….if you aint figured it out yet…then bless you

  19. Fanatics can’t understand the script of the National Fakery Bakery 🥯🧁 League…. It’s always been a distraction for the people, by the ELITE’S… To give you the illusion that nothing else is important other than the games!!! My ex girlfriend told me she liked to play games! So, I quit her and woke up.😂😂😂

  20. 76% was put on the Chiefs? Dam the NFL got paid. And that garbage time td at the end put it over for the point total.

  21. Nobody wins 3 in a row — if they did, it would require the NFL fixing a team for 4 years to get the same drama

  22. 😂😂😂 WWE has gotten more entertaining and real than the NFL 😂😂😂.

  23. The QB hurts, looked like he didn’t even want the trophy, like he was ashamed for being fake

  24. Vegas won everything. They even won prop bet for Barkley’s rushing yards.

  25. NFL tried to cover up that they were having the refs favor KC by over correcting and giving every call to the Eagles. They think by doin that, were not gonna think it’s rigged?! Gtfoh NFL!

  26. Did anyone notice that Mahomes was smiling and laughing all throughout the game like he didn’t really care about it?

  27. As soon as the game started, and the Chiefs started “messing up” I knew we were in for a long boring game that was going to favor the Eagles. The Chiefs throwing the game was so damn obvious that even a blind man could see it!

  28. When Mahomes threw the pick-six, it looked like he threw it right into his arms. Reminded me of the one Brady threw against Atlanta.

  29. Suddenly the chiefs forgot how to play football so the underdog eagles could win. Never seen such a fake game in my life! It looked way too fake. I have spent my very last dollar on the nfl.

  30. Mahomes has $500 million reasons to do what the league tells him to do.

  31. i know about 33 🔺. the interceptions were so obvious , nobody was even in the area on all of them.

  32. To anyone thinking sports cannot be rigged, do your research on the 1919 World Series. It can and will be done.
