KANSAS CITY, Kan — There’s a new Bonnie & Clyde in Wyandotte County. Willie Sampson, 51, and his wife, 50-year-old Kimberly Thomas-Sampson, were thrown in the slammer after they allegedly robbed a bank. The armed lovebirds were able to “Set It Off” on January 31, 2025 at the U.S. Bank near 110th & Parallel, close to the Legends Outlets at Village West in Kansas City, Kansas. According to reports, Willie and Kim barged into the financial institution with guns and egressed the property with cash 💰💰💰. Police secured arrest warrants on February 24, 2025 and went after ’em. Willie barricaded himself at their residence in the vicinity of 37th & Wood for roughly 2 hours before being apprehended. Kim was busted at her job. But, turns out, she’s a special education coordinator with Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools. Administrators said Kim has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the investigation. Her co-workers descried her being handcuffed and escorted to a squad car.

Willie and Kim are charged with two counts of aggravated robbery, aggravated non-residential burglary, conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery, aggravated assault and theft.

They’re facing a lengthy stay behind bars.

Social media reaction was wild. One commenter wrote, “Wow! This is a true Bonnie & Clyde love story.” Another chimed in with, “Damn, what’s sad is at their age they may never see each other again.” A third person added, “I know times are hard but damn.” The robbery is no doubt a head-scratcher. After all, Kim was well-remunerated and — from what we can tell — Willie was employed too.

Telling you dawg, we’re gonna see some strange sh*t as a consequence of President Donald Trump’s impact on the U.S. economy.

He’s already made drastic budget cuts to food stamps and Section 8 Housing, and he’s downsizing IRS and federal agencies in his pursuit to eliminate payroll tax in lieu of tariffs.
