NASHVILLE –The adventures of Pookie & Ray Ray continue. James Ritenour, 27, was thrown in the slammer after he murdered his ex-girlfriend, 29-year-old Alexis Douglas, because she found herself a new man. The femicide transpired around 11:45 p.m. on December 21, 2020 at Alexis’ Elm Hill Pike apartment in Nashville, Tennessee. According to reports, Alexis — a victim of domestic violence — told James she was sick and tired of being his punching bag 🥊 so she’s ending their relationship. Then — to add kerosene to the inferno — she found herself a new boyfriend, 29-year-old Gene Fernandez, and flaunted their love on social media. Everything seemed to be going well. But Alexis forget James had a key to her apartment and she didn’t change the lock. That’s significant because on the night of the murder, James used the key to barge in on Alexis and Gene who were canoodling on the couch. Then he pulled out a gun and opened fire — striking the lovebirds multiple times.

Alexis’ two children were home.

But they were in bed and didn’t witness the shooting.

Prior to pulling the trigger, James said, “I bet you forgot I had this key.” Alexis was pronounced dead at the scene. Gene somehow survived. He was transported to the hospital where he received treatment for his injuries. Gene also helped identify James as the shooter, telling investigators he “saw me and Alexis on the couch and opened fire on us.” James was arrested and charged with murder and attempted murder. He’ll spend the rest of his miserable existence putrefying behind bars.

Those close to Alexis said James “abused her in extreme ways both physically and mentally during the span of their on and off dating relationship, which lasted approximately 5-6 years.”

He also stalked her daily and every time Alexis blocked his number, he’d buy a new phone and call from that one.

Social media reaction was cold-blooded.

One commenter wrote, “She Was ratchet and very disrespectful. How could anybody not see how this happened? She caused her own demise. She taunted a dangerous criminal then f*cked around and found out. This is modern women for you.”

Another person added, “Never let your right hand know what your left hand is doing. Move on in silence. Go be happy in peace. People are watching from afar. They can be jealous or even envious. Seeing you happy can be a trigger for some. Remember, some people have a hard time moving on from a breakup and some can’t handle rejection. RIP to this beautiful young woman💐.”

  1. I am so glad my generation, didn’t have the full definition of social Media, we would have been a bunch of idiots

  2. Her new boyfriend Gene didn’t know what he signed up for. Glad he survived. She seems just as toxic as the men she complained about

  3. Stop going online and talking about people bc some people have nothing to lose!!!!!

  4. Thats the outcome dealing with these low level toxic dudes but will run away from good dudes in a minute. Women put themselves in these situations dealing with these types of clowns 🤡.

  5. I’m sorry but I don’t like that she went online. She still doesn’t deserve to b shot and killed but I wouldn’t have went online about anything.

  6. Women do not know how much fire they’re playing with when they talk to men like this. They learn the hard way.

  7. Please change your locks!..🔊📢📢📢📢📢 Whenever anyone leaves! Even if it’s a sibling roommate, whatever.❤

  8. Same old story a ghetto girl who’d rather worry about likes on the internet than picking the right man and keeping her legs closed not having a bunch of kids, post the 2 minutes of happiness while living a life of sorrow. Litteraly this story is the same as the rest of them.

  9. the language and disrespect she uses
i see why she invited negativity into her life

  10. She didn’t like the baby daddy but wrote a whole book about him on social media 😂

  11. ALWAYS change your locks after a breakup. Even if he gives the key back, these people make duplicates.
