WASHINGTON — “🎵They not like us. They not like us. They not like us.🎵” A viral video shows U.S. House Representative Jasmine Crockett and her retinue dancing to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” song prior to President Donald Trump’s joint address to Congress. And, she did it as an act of protest. In her video titled “This Country Is Divided Somebody’s Gotta Fight For It,” the 43-year-old Democrat started off lip-syncing in her office before two-steppin’ down the hallway. Republicans trashed the choreography. “Fearless” host Jason Whitlock called Jasmine ghetto then said “she’s for the streets.” Talk show host Megyn Kelly called Jasmine’s performance “cringey.” Social media reaction was equally priceless. One commenter wrote, “That is three grown adults and one is an elected official. This is why the last 4 years were a sh*t show.” Another chimed in with, “Our tax dollars at work.” A third viewer added, “Ms. Crockett has to be the most irritating, unintelligent, insufferable member of Congress. I never thought that anybody would take that title from AOC [Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez], but Crockett sure found a way.”
Sadly, Jasmine wasn’t the only Democrat to show her ass. U.S House Representative Al Green was removed by security for heckling Trump. The 77-year-old politician — who sought to have Trump impeached during his last term — stood up, yelled and shook his cane. After Al refused to remain sedentary and let Trump continue his oration, the House sergeant escorted him out of the chamber as Republicans chanted, “Nah nah nah nah, goodbye!”
At the end of the day, several Democratic leaders staged a walkout — citing Trump’s inability to deliver on campaign promises relative to employment and the economy.
They’re also pissed about massive budget cuts made to food stamps, Section 8 Housing and Medicaid.
“What this moment demands me to do is step up the fight and let America know Democrats won’t back down,” Jasmine told reporters.
“We will not normalize this. In fact, we will fight back in each and every way this moment demands. The future of America is on the line. House Democrats are dug in and ready. Now it’s up to the American people to decide. Do we roll back or press forward?”
