KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Family and friends want answers following the mysterious quietus of Kansas City native Alysha Burney. The social media star passed away on March 2, 2025 — one day before her 25th birthday — while vacationing in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Alysha reportedly died in her sleep after suffering an asthma attack. But there’s scuttlebutt of foul play. “It’s really hard,” Alysha’s best friend, Hiba Lukadi, told reporters. “Usually, when something happens, she’s the first person I call.” Another close friend, Nikolai Adams, added, “The way that she could make anyone comfortable, the way she could make anyone be themselves is definitely magic.” Alysha, a graduate of the University of Central Missouri, had more than 5 million social media followers. Her comedic videos amassed more than 50 million views and likes. Babygirl had ample talent.

“Bold, outgoing, outspoken. she never let anything hold her back, goal-driven,” said Anitra Scott, Alysha’s mother.

“She was driven, so dedicated, she had plans, she had goals, ambitions, and she ran for them,” added Charles Burney, Alysha’s brother.

Because Alysha was so popular, and because she moved to Los Angeles, many fans on social media are wondering if the Illuminati and/or Freemasons were complicit in her death. One commenter wrote, “I wish people would stop assuming that every celebrity or influencers death is connected to the so-called illuminati or drugs. People pass in their sleep often. That is, in fact, how my mother died. Asthma is nothing to play with. Having an attack in your sleep isn’t common. But it’s certainly possible.”

Another person added, “She was a very gorgeous, beautiful, smart, savvy, excellent, brilliant, multitalented, trendsetting go-getter. And — and most IMPORTANTLY — she was a GOD-FEARING BLACK QUEEN. It’s so sad, the evil that happened to her.”
