Arlette’s ‘Pop The Balloon Live 🎈’ on Netflix stinks

Arlette Amuli’s “Pop The Balloon 🎈 Live” on Netflix should be cancelled right now ’cause it sucks ass.

  1. I couldn’t finish the episode. It’s already hard enough to hear people give the same answers.. too short, not my type, etc. I just can’t

  2. Arlette and BM sold out. Niggas continue to sell their soul for money 💰💰💰

  3. These aren’t contestants. They’re all paid actors. AmeriKKKa loves trashing black shows.

  4. I was really disappointed. There’s no need for the show to be live. People were talking all over each other. I’m surprised that Arlette and BM can put on a better production than a company on Netflix.

  5. The reason Arlette show is so good bc it’s about blk people. I knew once they white washed it it wouldn’t be the same flava at all😂

  6. I think that one black young lady was a producer plant. She was acting the whole time! Smh.

  7. I will not support the Netflix show. I feel like they don’t want to support a majority black cast and that’s not right considering where they got the Idea from. Arlette and BM was probably just happy for more income but this isn’t it.

  8. I didn’t understand what Arlette and the host were doing at the beginning, it seemed forced and not natural. Once I saw the first man come out behind the plant I started to search for my remote. Its disorganised and everyone was talking over each other. Hopefully they will take note from the feedback and make changes. I will tune in again once the changes have been made.

  9. Hey yall! I like watching Arlette Pop the Balloon and Kickin’ it with 2Kold more 🎈 I’m trying to watch the one on Netflix butttttttt I’m not feeling it! The host is moving too much and should of had on a nice dress like Arlette. The line up is not the same as what I like to see.

  10. 1. It was absolutely horrible (It was scripted & not funny at all)
    2. It was just a parody of the ridiculous things that the women say on the original show along with their bad behavior, & the outgrageously stupid reasons why they pop their balloons (Basically, BM & Arlette were indirectly telling these women that they need to get their act together through this show in a bad comedic way)
    3. I knew that this move to Netflix was a bad idea (It’s going to be the downfall of the brand overall)

  11. Anyone coming on a Balloon Pop show looking for anything other than a good time is foolish.

  12. Its a sad day when Black people believe that Pop the Balloon was a good show for Black people. A show that totally judge you for how you look on the outside and NOT the inside, then act surprised when that white dude calls that Black woman a monkey????

  13. I hate the whole Netflix thing. They ruined the whole pop the balloon experience for me. I’m happy for arlette and her husband for the opportunity but netflix ruined it.

  14. They literally destroy EVERYTHING. Not surprised.
You couldn’t pay me to watch an episode of that BS. We’ll stick to the original.

  15. Arlette and husband sold out authenticity for a big bag 💰. That’s all it is.

  16. Once you sell something it is no longer yours. Whoever you sell it to can do what they want with it. That’s just facts.

  17. This comes as no surprise. I would have been surprised if it hadn’t been what we all thought.

  18. Damm! The main thing I liked about it that it was truly all black men & women. Now they done messed it up.

  19. I was telling fans of the original show that this would happen. The reason Arlette and her husband are so successful is because of the grassroots energy mixed with an aura of quality. Netflix was going to make it a “white” show the moment they got their hands on it.

  20. “Y’ALL” WANTED “DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION”… Y’all GOT IT‼️🤣😂🤣😂🤣 #NoSurprisesHere 🤷🏾‍♂️

  21. This is a prime example of why it’s hard for Black folks in America to have their own thing … long term. Every other race wants to get involved, and when they do, the “edge” it has was gone. At least the YouTube series is still there, but there was no need to go to Netflix (with their production team, etc). Not all extra money is good money.

  22. Netflix fumbled, that’s a fact. BUT… Arlette and BM let it happen. Almost every time Black folk strike gold with original creations, we sell it to “The Man”. Nothing wrong with building a brand and selling it, but WHO you sell it to needs to be the primary concern if you want your creation to maintain its authenticity and core audience.

  23. The show was toxic anyway, but for those who said we can’t have nothing, well thank the black creators people who sell out to these big corporations or partner with them.

  24. For Gods sake, when will Black people realize that everybody wants our culture and when we sell it to them, they mess it up …and then we get mad at the people we sold it to for messing it up. At some point, we have to take responsibility for selling to these folks.

Hopefully this won’t suffer the same fate at Verzuz after “partnering” with Triller.

  25. So much has been white washed..
Not just thousands of years ago.. with paintings and the Bible…
But As you can see even to this day.. everything black folks makes popular.. yt executives just gotta get in on the popularity..
They destroyed the Harlem shake… And dabbing…and Eminem is trying to steal rap…
We cant let this keep happening
    😡😡😡😡

  26. not sure why Bm and arlette would even think this was a good idea. smh they’re africans so anything for money i guess. they single handily ruin the authenticity of their show. everyone knows when hollywood makes you an offer off your own franchise it’s never good. look what they did to the wayans brothers and scary movie franchise. i’m actually so disappointed in them and i will unsubscribe for this foolishness

  27. Johnny Bananas is a racist. He hides it in jokes. He has a history of these types of comments.

  28. I watched a good 10 minutes of it and clicked off. I didn’t like it not one bit.

  29. I’m happy for Arlette but the show isn’t good. I think she would have carved out a better path for the show had she kept it on YouTube or maybe have been given more creative control or waited for an offer from another network. And Netflix has a way of taking things from smaller creators and turning them into a disingenuous dumpster fire.🔥🔥🔥

  30. I love ‘Pop the Balloon’ on Youtube. ARLETTE & BM do such a great job with the show and I was so excited when they got a deal with Netflix. What disappointed me, was that Netflix wanted to bring in cast members from other reality shows who still to this day can’t find love. Which would’ve been okay, if they were actually serious about finding love & not getting another chance to be on TV. It’s like they wanted to make it a comedy show, but is FORCING the comedy instead of it being natural like the one on YouTube. The stage setup is horrible & too small. I love Yvonne as an actress & comedian, but I really wish they would’ve let Arlette continue being the host. She’s absolutely gorgeous & her voice when she says “single ladyyyy'” or “We got a matchhhh” makes me clap & smile from my living room. I understand they wanted diversity & that’s fine, it could have been done with minimum changes. That’s the problem with Hollywood & the industry today, they take something & mess it up not thinking it through. Arlette has MILLIONS of VIEWS on her channel and has major support from fans, why did Netflix replace her as host? What’s the reason? I’m definitely going to try & support the Netflix show by letting it play, but I will be tuning in to watch the REAL Pop the Balloon show on Arlette’s Youtube channel.
