  1. I give Veach an A+, the chiefs got josh Simmons and a 5th round pick 😊❤

  2. Simmons was a great pick. Just remember everyone passed on Trey Smith and he is about to be a top 5 paid guard this year. Chiefs got a player who can rehab and learn this year and start at either tackle spot next year.

  3. Alot of draft capital and $$$ has gone into this o line these last couple years. And yet we still don’t know who’s playing left gaurd. Alot of options but still a little baffling. In veach we trust eh

  4. Simmons can red shirt. Learn. Come playoff time. Who knows? Great risk after trading back and getting another draft pick. Welcome to THE Professional Football Team. Let’s go reclaim the Lombardi.

  5. I am not trying to be argumentative, but I read after Simmons had his injury, it was reported as a “Complete Tear of the Patellar Tendon”….if they take the proper time for it to completely heal, the better chance he has of returning to pre-injury function.

  6. good job league. You just gave the Chiefs what they’ve been lacking for decades and what 15 needs to stack Lombardi’s. This along with Mushmouth Shannon Sharp getting shitcanned from ESPN will go down as the second best draft day in Chiefs history.

  7. Welcome home Josh Simmons Great pick we need to stack the O-line…#CHIEFSKINGDOM

  8. @DeeMoney: I don’t like the pick , they should of got Ersery or Luther Burden 3🤔⁉️

  9. as soon as i seen patrick mahomes post the sunglasses 😎 emoji i knew patrick mahomes knew something

  10. Josh Simmons Notes:
    – 6-4 7/8in, 317 LBS (312 at pro day), 33in arms (34 1/8in at pro day wtf), 10in hands
    – The 5.5 game sample size from this year was as dominant as any you’ll see in CFB
    – Family of athletes: Dad played in the MLB, uncle in the NFL, half-brother an MLB draft pick

  11. Awesome work! By Veach! Seriously who in Philly was like yeah KC needs O-line, Simmons is on the board and we don’t want him. Let’s trade spots with the Chiefs and give them an extra pick…Bawhaaaaaa …Cook Veach Cook 👨‍🍳 I am here for it !!!!!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

  12. Simmons, Kingsley, Creed and Smith are 4 young OTs that can very easily be the O line for the next 4 season, if we can just get a better RT over Taylor next draft or offseason that would allow Mahommes to get back to his MVP form especially when he will then have year 4 Rice and Year 3 Worthy

  13. @Jamon Bates: Simmons is a long term project. He doesn’t need to play right away. Chiefs can actually develop him at LT.

  14. This is horrible… having the best Wide receiver still on the board? Taking a chance on damage goods? This reminds when we picked CEH over Johnathan Taylor… brutal… hope I am wrong

  15. @Himmy Butler: And they were able to pick up an extra 5th round pick from the Eagles to trade down 1 spot and still got him. They didnt have a pick after round 4 till late in the 7th…Winner winner Chicken Dinner

  16. I thought we were rid of Adam Tiecher….UGH his questions are so bad. When I here his voice I just cringe…….

  17. Veach is laughing inside,he can’t believe the Pigeons (Eagles) were that dumb,AND we got an extra pick too 😅😅😅

  18. By the looks of this draft, The Chiefs are going to come in last in the AFC West

  19. I like these picks. I think they were drafted to compete to be starters in 2026. I think Charles leaves and Chris retires. Lott is playing to prove we don’t need to draft a DT next year. Gillotte is playing against FAU for starting LE in 2026. I think all 3 play a lot to show there skills and to rest the starters.

  20. Outside of Rd 1… Brashard smith is my favorite pick. Potential is through the roof.. Closest thing we’ve had to Jamaal Charles.. I think he plays a significant role out the gates

  21. I heard from somewhere that Gillotte and Karloftis have the same college coach and have become friends so maybe that had an impact on him getting drafted?

  22. Best pick Simmons, and worst Norman-Lott! Tennessee subbed in so much I’m not sure you can tell if anyone on that front can play or were just fresh in comparison to their opponents.

  23. Man if Simmons can stay healthy I think he will do a great job in finally protecting Mahomes

  24. I’d give them a C. I don’t see but 3 of these guys making the team.

  25. Veach just makes you love the draft. Every draft we watch 90% of our drafts contribute throughout the year. They have ups and downs but at the end of the year we usually come away with 4-5 starters or rotational players. I get more excited about the draft than free agency. It’s amazing to watch

  26. @mikenely: I agree. The Chiefs have the top front office in the NFL. They go to the super bowl EVERY year.

  27. Josh Simmons was obviously my favorite pick but outside him I really like Brashard Smith pick. He was the 3rd fastest RB in the class and used to play WR so he can catch.
Lest favorite was Ashton Gillotte. I felt that there was so many better Edge rushers at that pick. Bills picked Landon Jackson a few picks later he would have been great. Jordan Burch from Oregon, but seriously wish we traded up and picked Mike Green who went to Baltimore just a few picks earlier.

  28. Patrick Mahomes is gonna have an MVP season, with this O-line and the receivers we’ve added. And this might be the best RB room we’ve had in a long time. Let’s go Chiefs 💯🏈♥️

  29. I really liked the selections made by KC Chiefs in the draft. First, Simmons, if healthy from the knee injury, might (finally) solve the left tackle dilemma on the offensive line. Meanwhile, Norman-Lott, the defensive tackle from Tennessee, could form quite a tandem with Chris Jones to make the pass rush more imposing and quick. I also like the CB from Cal, who (seemingly) is a Spags type of corner – one who can play bump and run as well as man on man. And then there is Jayden Royals, a wide receiver, who has not only quick burst of speed, but also, is terrific after he catches the ball, the YAC (similar to Rashee Rice). From afar, Brett Veach and his staff chose prospects that are likely to improve the core of the Kansas City Chiefs. Well Done!
