BELTON — Twin sisters Rodnae Gorham and Rodneysha Gorham — both 19 years old — were thrown in the slammer after they purloined a lady’s vehicle in Belton, Missouri. The carjacking went down on Taco Tuesday 🌮 around 6 p.m. near I-49 & 163rd Street. According to police reports, Rodnae — who was driving a stolen Kia — intentionally rear-ended the victim who was driving a Dodge Charger. When the lady got out to see what the f*ck happened, Rodnae gave a fake apology. During the distraction, Rodneysha and another dude got out of the Kia and hopped in the Charger. When the victim told ’em to get out the car, homeboy pulled out a gun and threatened to blow her ass to smithereens. “Move bitch! Get out the way!” he reportedly yelled (à la Ludacris). Then he and Rodneysha drove off in the Charger. Rodnae got back in the Kia and followed ’em.

The victim was left at the scene, assed out, with no ride.

The good news is the Charger is equipped with a “Lojack” GPS tracking system. Police followed the digital map, and it led right to the twins. Rodnae and Rodneysha were subsequently arrested and charged with accessory to vehicle hijacking with a deadly weapon. They’re facing a lengthy stay behind bars. “There were two individuals taken into custody after they fled from that stolen vehicle in Kansas City,” said Lt. Dan Davis with the Belton Police Department.

“They were brought to Belton yesterday and charges were filed with the Cass County Prosecutor’s Office today. Both individuals are being held at the Cass County jail on no bond warrants for the carjacking.”

Social media reaction was wild.

One commenter wrote, “It’s sad… Because they not bad looking girls. They should be somewhere acting they age. Acting like young ladies and doing stuff young girls are supposed to be doing.”

Another person added, “If you’re gonna turn to a life of crime, at least don’t be a dumbass criminal.”

Rodnae and Rodneysha are awfully young.

Should prosecutors show leniency or throw the book at ’em?

  17. ugh My parents live in Belton lol the crime from Kansas City spills to all the surrounding communities. im extreamly shocked they got cought the only reason that car was found was because of that tracking device. Kansas City PD on both sides expecially Missouri are under staffed even after raising pay and benefits. the crime is so bad around here because no one want to be a police officer. I work for a major security company and we give back up to the KCPD because of the shortage. It’s sad our country has come to this.

  20. @millymil: Yes, this is what they do now. My friend was robbed this way. They will hit you from behind (like it’s an accident) so you can get out & take your car.
