NEW YORK — Vivica A. Fox may be single. But she’s far from lonely. As a matter of fact, she has several “suitors” who are eager to blow her back out. If you recall, the 60-year-old actress suffered a savage beating a few months ago when she appeared on “Today With Hoda & Jenna” and said she’s ready for marriage and accepting applications. Vivica claimed she was joking. She even received a few resumes. But that didn’t stop critics from calling her old, companionless and desperate. Vivica heard every word and, because of that, she made an appearance on the “Tamron Hall Show” to set the record straight. “Yes, they sent in actual [applications],” Vivica told Tamron. “It was a joke, as I told you on the phone. It was literally a joke. But for some odd reason, because I was turning 60, I think they thought I was [desperate]. Let me tell y’all, it’s not that I can’t get a man. I’ve got plenty of suitors. Let’s get that straight. Ain’t nobody sittin’ over here home alone and desperate. It’s a bad assumption.”

When asked how she felt about people who assume she’s thirsty and hit a wall, Vivica replied, “I don’t care. I know me and I know I’m so booked, busy and blessed in that order. Why do you think we’re of less value because we don’t have a mate or because we don’t have children? You guys gave me some stats that there’s like over 40 million single women. So obviously we’re ok.”

Social media reaction was Icy Hot.

One commenter wrote, “Some women are okay with being single. It does not mean that they can’t find a mate. It’s just that some women have tried dating, engagement, etc. and maybe it just didn’t work. No one should be forced to settle because the world’s opinion is a woman should have a husband and children. That does not define us at ALL!!!! This beautiful lady is accomplished, successful and she looks blissfully happy. Do what works for you and allow others to do what works for them. The world is not one size fits all. Besides, don’t let optics fool you. Some of these so-called HAPPY couples and married people are miserable behind closed doors because they are more concerned about what people think rather than following their heart. Be an individual and do what is best for YOU!”

Another chimed in with, “She looks swollen.”

A third person added, “Men just age better than women that’s all. I saw her on a talk show about 30 years ago and damn she was fine. I know she kicked some brothers to the curb but for some reason women think they are going to be fine forever. They just can’t accept that they only have a short window to dominate the dating scene. Eventually, men catch up even if we don’t make a lot of money. The older women get, the more their market value diminishes. Men don’t want older women because we have no empathy for them. When they’re young and fine, you can’t tell them nothing unless you can change their lives from a financial standpoint. And they continue to play the game until time runs out. During the process, they fail to connect with men on a deep level. When they finally wake up, it’s too late.”

  22. I’m 54 and single, no children, and when i look around, i find that it’s more peace on this side. If im to be married, God will do it. Im happy, living my life, and at peace. I used to be stressed about it, but TRULY NOT ANY MORE!

  25. Ladies, I want to remind you that if you have a baby when you’re a teenager, you’re a hoe. If you’re in your late 20’s without a child, you have a bad vagina and no man wants you. If you’re married and have kids, you’re used up and nobody will ever want you again. If you’re 30+ without kids, you’re a useless elderly woman. What are you to do? Idk and they don’t know either. Maybe just focus on exactly what you want and succeed in it? “They” will always have something negative to say about women for some reason.

  26. It’s clear that most people are extremely ignorant to the effects of weight gain (even though they are extremely overweight themselves).

    Weight gain can DRAMATICALLY alter the structure of one’s facial features. But, in my opinion, Viv looks absolutely amazing!Just as great as she did 30 years ago.

    If she were to drop her weight down, she would be the same show stopper that she has always been. Let’s also acknowledge that V. is 60 years old, for goodness sakes! Is she supposed to look the 25 year old Vivica forever????!!!??? Vivica is one of the most amazing women, on many levels, that I have ever known of.

    I GUARANTEE you that all of the women in the comments saying horrible things about her do not compare to her on any level, no matter what their age is. Vivica is gorgeous and fabulous and she looks amazing!!!

    Let’s be extremely clear, Vivica A. Fox can have just about any man that her heart desires! She is not some regular, simple, everyday woman. If you really do not believe that Viv cannot find a man, any man whatsoever, then you are seriously delusional!

  31. No one want’s to be alone. However I never doubted that there weren’t men In Vivica’s dms it’s just as she stated she can get men it’s just a certain caliber of men she’s interested in. She looks darn great at 60 and I love the genuineness in her putting herself out there it makes her human not desperate smh. What do we really want from these celebrities? Uppity fake celebrities or a Vivica being transparent about the way she feels about 50 or what she’s looking for in a man/ companion. I’ll take the latter and truly wish Vivica, and us other women all of the happiness our hearts can handle in love.
