SAN ANTONIO — The adventures of Pookie & Ray Ray continue. Calaseo Merci Brown, 20, was thrown in the slammer after he murdered 24-year-old Desiree Zaria Fisher so he could steal her car. The femicide transpired on August 4, 2023 while they were out on a date in San Antonio, Texas. While cruising in Desiree’s red Mercedes Benz, she reportedly told Calaseo she was no longer interested in dating him. A bout of contretemps ensued. As the argument intensified, Calaseo pulled out a gun and opened fire — striking Desiree in the head. Then he dumped her in a grass field near Southcross Ranch Road and Side Saddle Drive and waited for his accomplices — Zephaniah Cleaver, 17, and Demarcus Whitley, 18 — to show up. Fearing Desiree was still alive, Demarcus pulled out his gun and emptied the clip. Calaseo hopped in the Mercedes and sped off.
Zephaniah and Demarcus were close behind.
Moments later, a passerby descried Desiree’s body and called police. Her corpse was riddled with gunshot wounds.
Then, later that day, Calaseo sold Desiree’s Mercedes and the fellas split the cash three ways.
Law enforcement officials reviewed surveillance footage, acquired the GPS location of the Mercedes, checked cell phone records, and questioned spectators to corroborate everybody’s involvement. An eyewitness said Calaseo yelled, “I’m finna kill this bitch!” prior to pullin’ the trigger. Investigators also searched social media accounts and found messages that read, “Devo (Whitley) pulled the trigger,” “K.o. (Brown) set it up,” and Cleaver “was there.”
An arrest warrant was issued on September 28th.
Calaseo, Zephaniah and Demarcus were subsequently arrested and charged with murder.
Social media reaction was wild.
One commenter wrote, “Women are horrible at picking the right partner/companion. I’m sure she turned down many worthy men 🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️.”
Another chimed in with, “😒His Broke azz BACKDOOR’d her Bogusly in order to sell her car for cash so he can become a Dope Boy… Absolutely CutThroat 🤨.”
A third person added, “Like a moth to a flame, modern women are drawn to Pookie & Ray Ray. They can’t help it 😂😂😂 .”
Desiree harbored aspirations of becoming a police detective.
Calaseo is a carjacking murderer with no goals or ambition.
